A crewel owl - progress

Acorns - I like them.

Loving colours but also being scared of them I've looked and looked at a lot of pictures to get inspiration. So far I'm pleased with the result.
However the dark brown stem at top left - I think it is too thick, so I will pick that one out and make one that is a bit slimmer and maybe a lighter colour, so it will match the small leaves better.
The acorns are fun to make, I like the texture of the french knots

I think I agree that the dark stem would be better if it were lighter, and perhaps narrowed towards the top.

Narrowing the tip - great advice.
Thank you, Rachel :-)

The acorns look great. I'm not sure about the dark stem - It will look different anyway when you've added the leaf, so would it make sense to put the leaf in, then decide about the stem?

Tak Annelise - det her blir' helt bestemt færdigt;-)

Wendy, I thought about leaving it. The reason is that I (the GREAT designer!!!..hehe) drew the stem rather thick, so it will be difficult for me to make it slimmer without the pattern showing below... the wool is supposed to cover those lines.
Well - I'm still learning - the mistakes helps me get better;-)
